From the moment you turn onto Glory Way Boulevard, you sense the peace that permeates the Florida Christian Retreat located on the banks of the beautiful Manatee River in east Manatee County. Towering oaks dripping with Spanish moss shade the 110-acre property that is home to year-round residents, overnight guests and groups who use our conference center to host events, camps and meetings The facility includes hotel style lodging, a cafeteria, meeting rooms, gymnasium and outdoor recreation.
Christian Retreat serves as headquarters for the Family Church and Gospel Crusade, Inc., a worldwide mission’s organization founded in 1953 and directed by Gerald Derstine. It is also the headquarters church for Gospel Crusade Ministerial Fellowship
