“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” I Corinthians 2:16

What does it mean to have “the mind of Christ”? For one thing, it means you have received the Holy Spirit who helps you to spiritually discern what has been given to you by God. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (I Corinthians 2:9) The natural man simply does not understand and actually believes spiritual matters amount to a lot of foolishness.

Having “the mind of Christ” gives you access to what the Father is thinking. That is an awesome thought! You will begin to see that “[his] ways are higher than your ways” (Isaiah 55:9b), and you will begin to walk in His ways because they are so far superior. You will begin to learn His wisdom. You will begin operating in the Holy Spirit’s gifts of faith and knowledge, which will be a blessing to all those around you.

As you go about your tasks today, take on “the mind of Christ ” and ask yourself: “What does Christ think about this job or word. . . thought.. . action. . . gift. . . Bible verse. . . game. . . song.. . TV program. . . movie…dress?”

PRAY:
“Father, You are high and lifted up on the throne of my heart today. Thank You for giving me ‘the mind of Christ’ in this world which keeps me from wandering into places I should not be. Amen.”
