Vision Creates Faith

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”  Proverbs 29:18a

Somebody once coined the phrase, “Seeing is believing!” Indeed, it becomes easier to believe after you can see it with your natural eye, but God wants you to believe with a spiritual eye. That is FAITH.

Hebrews 11:1 says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” For FAITH to have substance and evidence, one must be able to visualize those things hoped for and unseen. The VISION comes first. God plants a seed of VISION, and, if it finds root, it will grow. VISION becomes FAITH when it is combined with belief in God’s Word. FAITH will, in time, yield tangible RESULTS.

Dr. Paul Cho, pastor of the world’s largest church, speaks of being “pregnant” with the VISION, noting that a pregnancy takes many months to fulfill. Habbakuk 2:3 confirms his statement: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time…though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come…”

Today, hold onto your VISION. Move in FAITH. Watch God perform that miracle He has promised!

PRAY: “God of my fathers and of all ages, give me a glimpse of Your vision for me… enough to create FAITH which will bring RESULTS for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.”
