“And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israelis he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.” I Samuel 17:25

There stood the entire Israeli army, day after day, listening to the insults hurled from the ungodly lips of the great giant, Goliath. Paralyzed with fear, none of Saul’s trained fighting men had the courage to accept the challenge and fight Goliath. Then a little shepherd boy named David came on the scene and asked, “Is there not a cause?” (I Samuel 17:29b)

What did David have that motivated him to ACTION? In a word, David had a CAUSE . . . a grounds for action a reason for doing something.  He saw the spiritual warfare beneath the external problem, and it angered him enough to step out and trust GOD to give the victory!

Discover the CAUSE that will motivate you to take the first step in resisting the enemy to overcome your problem. It may be the FEAR OF GOD or LOVE OF FAMILY that motivates you. Without a CAUSE, you have a BE-CAUSE . . . a poor excuse.

Do not tolerate that giant in your life. There is good CAUSE to approach him boldly with confidence in God!

PRAY: “Father, I am tired of facing these giants in my life that are getting in the way of my progress toward effectively performing Your will.   Help me to overcome them.  In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
