The Ministry of JESUS: Revolutionary teaching for revolutionary living!

·      John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you. (35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

  • Matthew 5:20 “Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

Four Kingdom Principles – Luke 6:27-49

1. Love your enemies (vrs. 27-36)

·      Luke 6:27 “But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, (28) Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”

·      Not just tolerate… but do something to show love.

·      Bless them… speak well of them (by faith)

·      Pray for them… an act of FAITH  (Solve conflict in Marriage: Pray together, Stay together)

·      Mathew 24:10 “Then [in the Last Days] shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.  (NIV) “At that time many will turn away from the faith…”

2. Don’t Judge Others (vrs. 37-42)

·      Luke 6:37“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.”

  • For-give means Forward Giving – a pardon
  • Acts 7:60 [Stephen] “The he fell on his knees and cried out, Lord, do not hold this sin against them.  When he had said this, he fell asleep.”
  • Luke 6:42 [Jesus]“You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
  • I Corinthians 4:3-4 “I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.  My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocentIt is the Lord who judges me.”

3. Bear Good Fruit (vrs. 43-45)

  • Luke 6:43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. (44) Each tree is recognized by its own fruit..."
  • John 15:5 (AMP) “I am the Vine; you are the branches.  Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit.  However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.”

·      FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT (Galatians 5:22-23) – Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering (patience), Gentleness (kindness), Goodness (benevolence), Faith (faithfulness), Meekness (humility), Temperance (self-control).

·      I Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

4. Practice God’s Word (vrs. 46-49)

·      Luke 6:47 “I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.”

·      Medical Doctors PRACTICE medicine, Lawyers PRACTICE law, Christians PRACTICE God's Word.

·      Romans 12:14 “Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. (21) Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.”
