- Announcement: “Roundtable Wednesday’s” “Bits & Pieces” for Everyday Life.
- 2 Chronicles 20:17 (AMPC) Jehoshaphat’s war with surrounding nations 17 You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, standstill, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. [Order your feet to be stable & grounded. Go with what you know.]
- 3 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the first ways of his father [David]. He did not seek the Baals… 4 But sought and yearned with all his desire for the Lord, the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not after the ways of Israel.
- Difficulty comes in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it's the stress of our everyday life & responsibilities. 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMPC We regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction and belief. we control and direct our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction.
- And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 NKJV (Moving from the In-Between Place to answered prayers).
- (1) Synchronize with the Lord while experiencing your In-Between Place. Ephesians 5:25-27 Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be [holy and without blemish]. Am I adding or subtracting? Am I cleansing or contaminating?
- Deuteronomy 1:40 (The promise forfeited) 1. But as for you, turn and journey into the wilderness by way of the Red Sea. 2. We will go up and fight, as the Lord our God commanded us. 3. The men rebelled.
- 4. They returned and wept, but He would not heed their voice. 5. They headed back across the wilderness toward the Red Sea. 6. “Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north.
- (2) Trust God when we don’t understand. Jeremiah 17:7 KJV, AMPC Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.
- 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
- (3) God needs our corporation. Zechariah and Elizabeth Luke 1:13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. [14] He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
- 1. Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man. 2. “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news. 3. But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born.
- (4) Don’t cry over it if it can’t cry over you. Three lessons from the Spider. 1. She saw the cut line as no more than an inconvenience. WHY? 2. On the inside of her, she knew that she had an endless supply to reproduce what was lost. She produced 54 yds. 3. Therefore, she dared to do the impossible.
- Ephesians 3:20 AMPC Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—
- (5) Expect things to change for the good. Judges 4:14-15 (NLT) Then Deborah said to Barak, “Get ready! This is the day the Lord will give you victory over Sisera, for the Lord is marching ahead of you.” So Barak led his 10,000 warriors down the slopes of Mount Tabor into battle. 15 When Barak attacked, the Lord threw Sisera and all his chariots and warriors into a panic. Sisera leaped down from his chariot and escaped on foot. Deborah had an expectation, and it was fulfilled.
- Joshua 2:10 (Rahab-We heard about your God) 10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the [east] side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. 11 When we heard it, our hearts melted, neither did spirit or courage remain any more in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath. For 40 years Needless trouble had become Routine.
- TWO DON’TS: Don’t Give Up! Don’t Give God A Deadline!
