Faith To Finish

- You Were created by the Creator for a plan and a purpose
- Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”
- There is a reason you are alive for such a time as this!
- You are not a mistake, no matter the circumstances surrounding your birth
- Psalm 139:13-14 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well”
- You are loved by your Heavenly Father
- Psalm 27:10- “When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me”
- God is the author and perfector of our faith we join His plans!
- Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s Masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
- Some translations use workmanship- in Greek- poema- denotes a product of creative action- a workmanship, handiwork, or thing made”
- Through this we see God’s intentionality; nothing is accidental, all is purposed.
- VESSEL- A hollow container, especially one used to hold liquid, such as a bowl or cask.
- Every vessel is created with a specific purpose- same idea, but different function
- Pain, suffering, trauma, and hurt are all part of the shared human experience on earth.
- These situations can be represented by a crack in the vessel or complete destruction
- Debunking the myth: “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle”
- “2 Cor 1:8-9- for we do not want you to be uninformed brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead”
- In our weakness, He is strong
- How do I move from a place of brokenness towards healing
- Psalm 34:18- “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- Surrender
- Align yourself with the truth of His Word
- Accountability
- Find healthy community- you can’t do it alone
- Psalm 34:18- “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- The Potter and the Clay
- Wise potters use dust from previously broken pieces of pottery with new clay. This substance is called “grog” and makes the vessel stronger then before.
- Repeat after me- “God is making something beautiful out of my life”
- Faith
- Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance of what we do not see
- Faith separates the believer from the non-believer in the restoration process
- Will you believe the report of the Lord or the enemy?
- Mark 9:23- “... Jesus said to him, “if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
- Lazarus raised from the dead
- Those around Lazarus believed that Jesus came too late, and they missed the opportunity.
- John 11:40- “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?”
- Jesus tells us that our faith is a key to see God’s glory and redemptive power.
- Will you believe that no matter your current circumstances there is hope?
- Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
