Are You A Leader?  Leadership Begins with a Towel

  • God doesn’t make Leaders; He makes Servants, and servants become Leaders.
  • John 13:14 (Jesus models Servant Leadership) “Now that I, you Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. (15) I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. (17) Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
    • Matthew 13:11“The greatest among you will be your servant.”
  • The moment a young mother picks up her newborn baby, she has become a Leader.
  • Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
  • Servant is what you ARE; Leader is what you DO – Leadership is not a position, but an activity.
  • Leadership begins the moment somebody else’s life becomes your responsibility.
