The DRIP of Your Life – How God Grows our Faith, One Drip at a Time.

D.R.I.P. – Four-Word Acronym that carries the Growth Process of our Faith

  • Discover (Salvation) – Relate (Connection) – Inspire (Holy Spirit) – Prove (Leadership)
  • These four words are progressive and continuous in the journey and growth of our faith.
  • The Water of the Word is our source of LIFE.
  • A drip comes from a larger Source (God), is moving (on Mission), makes ripples (influence), has a sound (speaks).
  • A drip is strategic and surgical – Like Drip Irrigation and I.V. Medicine Delivery.
  • What is God dripping into your life—and what is your life dripping into others?
  1. DISCOVER Your Life in Jesus (Salvation)
  • II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed asway; behold, all things are become new.”
  • Everything we receive from God is a Discovery – Initially it’s Salvation and New Life in Christ. 
  • Discoveries can be “WOWS” or “SUDDENLIES” from God…
  • Acts 9:3 – Saul’s Encounter with Christ.  “Suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him…”
  1. RELATE Your Life to God’s Family (Connection)
  • Discoveries always lead to growth in Relationship with God and His Family.
  • Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on to love and good deeds. (25) Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
  • Daniel 3 – Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego stood togther, spoke together, went into fire together
  • Don't wait until you're in the fire to build relationships!
  • It’s impossible to get close to God and be isolated from people.
  1. INSPIRE Your Life with God’s Power (Holy Spirit)
  • Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
  • Pentecost CHANGED the disciples – took away FEAR and replaced it with FAITH.
  • Acts 4:13 “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”
  • Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  (16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
  • Sons (Gr: huios) – by function, activity.   Children (Gr: teknos) – by birth
  • We are “children” by re-birth, but good “sons” through obedience.
  • The Holy Spirit doesn't just make us feel something; He empowers us to do something.
  1. PROVE Your Life and bring forth Fruit (Leadership)
    • John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you.”
    • John 21:15 “Peter, lovest thou Me more than these?... Feed my lambs…”
    • II Timothy 4:5 “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.”
    • Look for the fingerprints of God – Ways that God is ordering your Life and directing your Steps.
  • What God drips into you is eventually what He wants to flow through you.
