We are Open and Ready to Serve You! – December 3, 2020

During these challenging and unprecedented times, we are taking Covid-19 very seriously. Thankfully, we have remained protected and healthy as we carefully follow all government-recommended safety precautions on our campus. We are blessed with fresh, country air and lots of space!

Our doors are open for all services for those who choose to attend. We are grateful our governor has designated places of worship as “essential services” and we will continue to serve our community. We are monitoring updates and complying with CDC guidelines; this includes social distancing, reduced capacity in meeting and dining areas, disinfecting surfaces daily, and requiring regular hand sanitation. Face masks are not mandated for church attendees in our county; however we DO recommend wearing one while indoors and/or unable to maintain 6-foot distance.

For those who feel safer at home, please join us ONLINE — Sunday at 10 AM and Wednesday at 7 PM at or on Facebook, The Family Church at Christian Retreat. We are excited about creating new and effective ways to stay connected with our church family outside the church walls.

Above all, choose faith over fear. And let us know if we can help.

As a “place of refuge,” Christian Retreat has always been equipped to serve our community in times of crisis, fear and uncertainty, providing for peoples’ spiritual and practical needs. We have created a “Helps Hotline” to assist in this—941-253-6880.

Thank you for your prayers as we BE the church, be the light in the darkness, and navigate our way through these uncharted waters. We will always be here for you and are keeping you in prayer every day. Together, we will weather this storm and emerge victorious!

We love you,

Pastors Phil & Jannette Derstine
