  • Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit
  • Never be bitter, angry, or mad
  • Be kind, compassionate, forgiving

Fight the Good Fight – How does Faith Fight?

  • I Timothy 6:11 “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. (12) Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
  1. Faith SEES – with Spiritual eyes
  2. Faith SPEAKS – with Declaration
  3. Faith ACTS – do something

Able Ministers of the Spirit

  • II Corinthians 3:5 “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is of God: (6) Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament: not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
  • Galatians 5:22-23 (Fruit of Spirit) – Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering (patience), Gentleness (kindness), Goodness (benevolence), Faith (faithfulness), Meekness (humility), Temperance (self-control)

Faith-in-Focus – Mark 8:22-26 Jesus heals a blind man

  • Faith: Complete trust and confidence in God
  • Focus: The adjustment necessary to produce a clear image.

1.  Leave the Town of Unbelief

– surround yourself with People of Faith!

  • Mark 8:23 “And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town…” (Bethsaida)
  • Matthew 11:21 “Woe to you, Chorazin!  Woe to you, Bethsaida!  For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.”

2. See people as God does

– for God so Loves the World!

  • Jesus spat on the man’s eyes and laid hands on him
  • Mark 8:23 “Do you see anything? (24) I see people, they look like trees walking around.”

3. Receive a 2nd Touch

– stay hungry for more of God!

  • Faith is progressive – We are being changed, little by little, drip-by-drip.
  • II Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
