Important: You do not have to be an AARP member or a senior citizen to use these services.
How to Get Help
Manatee County sites will be operational from February 2, 2026, to April 15, 2026.
- Appointments: Priority for service is given to those who make appointments.
- Walk-ins: Walk-in clients may not be served depending on the availability of volunteer preparers.
- Scheduling: You can schedule an appointment online at www.AARP.org/findtaxhelp.
- Assistance: Librarians at Manatee County libraries are also available to help you book an appointment.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
To ensure your return is filed accurately, please bring the following documents:
- Identification: Government-issued photo ID and Social Security card (or 1099-SSA statement) for the taxpayer and spouse.
- Dependents: Social Security cards for all dependents (photos of cards on a phone are acceptable).
- 2025 Tax Documents: All TY 2025 forms including W-2s, Social Security statements, 1095-A (Marketplace/ACA Health Insurance), interest/dividend statements, brokerage statements, and your Identity Theft PIN if applicable.
